UNTIL THE END OF TIME

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
                                                                          
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:18-20

The end of the world; it used to seem like fiction, for would such a thing ever happen to our world?

But lately I guess many are wondering what is happening to the world and if the end of the world is near.

For floods are wiping whole villages away, volcanoes started to erupt and no telling of when it will stop, the earth is shaking as quakes occur almost everywhere and massive floods of oil have polluted two parts of the world already this year.

And last but not least, torpedo's, nuclear weapons, missiles and so on, are bringing nations in a state of war against each other.

My, my how the earth is caught up in a whirlwind that seemingly is spinning out of control.

Yet God is always in control of everything even of chaos.

He described to us in the bible how things would evolve at the end of time and somehow things are going exactly in that direction.

Does that mean that all disasters are His doing? Of course not, it is the fall of mankind that brought the world to what it is today.

He never told people to make nuclear weapons or to make war against each other, He told them to love each other.

Sadly enough people don't follow God's will but their own.

Yet in the midst of earth's great chaos Christ stands like a rock in the raging sea and all who reach out to Him will stand with Him.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you." Isaiah 43: 2a

So this morning Let us all bow down to Christ and ask for forgiveness of our wrongdoings.
Let us be cleansed from sins by His blood and washed with the cleansing power of His Words.

It seems that the world as we know it today is fading away in wars and nature's disasters, the wisdom of mankind has not been able to redeem themselves and the earth from its downfall.

But be of good cheer, for Christ is with us even until the end of time, to create for us a new world inside our hearts and around us.

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." Revelation 21: 1-8
